Aqua Hologram !

If you search for: "Japanese Aqua Hologram" at google you will find this video and 2 stories about it.

First Story: It was mage by a 4th Grader for his school project and got a "D" for that.

Now i don't belive this but i sure want to. I also know WHY he got a "D" from his teachers. Some of them are old enough and where alive during the Godzilla attack, so this project got back some bad memories :P
Also i want to point out that if he got a "D" for a project like that, I souldn't have graduated EVER with the projects i made when I was at school :))))

Second Story: To promote a monster movie, Sony Pictures installed a holographic rig in Tokyo Bay that projects the monster onto a haze of water. What you're seeing in the video wasn't added after the fact—that's actually what it looks like in real life. The feat uses a water screen (carefully sprayed water jet) and exact light projections to create a giant pseudo-3-D Loch Ness "Water Horse" monster in the bay.

Now this story I belive but I don't want to. The first one was cooler :)

Here is the Video

"Terminator 4" In Theaters May 22, 2009

Warner Bros. is reinventing the "Terminator" cyborg saga with a storyline to be told over a three-picture span. "Terminator Salvation" is the first in a new trilogy of the "Terminator Movie" franchise. And as he helped resurrect the "Batman" movie franchise, Christian Bale ("The Dark Knight") stars in "Terminator Salvation," while McG directs "Terminator 4." Arnold Schwarzenegger is not reprising his role as "The Terminator" in "T4" and will NOT make a cameo appearance in "Terminator 4."

The latest installment of The Terminator film franchise, set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Christian Bale stars as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.

In "T4," McG's take is to weave science fiction and horror elements into a state-of-the-art action film: "The camera always moves, the imagery is raw and kinetic, the pace is insane. The creative challenge for me will be to bury the effects into the photography but to still protect our big visual moments," he says.

The "Terminator Salvation Trailer" premiered July 16, 2008.

STARRING: Christian Bale, Anton Yelchin, Helena Bonham-Carter, Common, Sam Worthington, Josh Brolin
DIRECTOR: McG
STUDIO: Warner Bros.

"Street Fighter" In Theaters February 27, 2009

"Street Fighter" - In 1994, Jean Claude Van Damme's "Street Fighter" grabbed $100 million at the movie box office, worldwide. (Today, that would translate to about $140,000,000).

The new big screen version of "Street Fighter" - "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li" - is also based on the "Street Fighter" series of video games. It follows the quest of Street Fighter character Chun-Li, who is portrayed by Smallville star Kristin Kreuk. The film costars Neal McDonough as M. Bison, Chris Klein as Charlie, Michael Clarke Duncan as Balrog, and Black Eyed Peas singer Taboo as Vega. Rick Yune was originally cast as Gen but was been replaced by Robin Shou, who portrayed Liu Kang in the Mortal Kombat series.

Allegedly, and we use the word very loosely, Jean-Claude Van Damme, who played Guile in the 1994 film version of "Street Fighter," stated that he was approached and offered a part in the 2009 "Street Fighter" movie but turned it down because he is "now being careful in choosing film roles." That should explain the Jean Claude Van Damme upcoming laugh fest "JCVD," which, at most, will make $50,000 at movie theaters in the United States; and most likely less on DVD.

STARRING: Kristin Kreuk, Michael Clarke Duncan, Neal McDonough, Taboo, Chris Klein, Moon Bloodgood, Edmund Chen, Cheng Pei Pei, Josie Ho, Robin Shou
DIRECTOR: Andrzej Bartkowiak
STUDIO: 20th Century Fox
RATING: PG-13 (For violence, adult situations, language)

"Silver Surfer" In Theaters TBD 2009

The "Silver Surfer" is a fictional character, a Marvel Comics superhero, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. The "Silver Surfer" first appears in the comic book Fantastic Four #48 (March 1966), the first of a three-issue arc fans and historians call "The Galactus Trilogy."

Norrin Radd was a young astronomer of the planet Zenn-La. In order to save his homeworld from destruction by a fearsome cosmic entity known as Galactus, Norrin made a bargain with the being, pledging himself to serve as its herald. Imbued in return with a small portion of Galactus' Power Cosmic, Norrin acquired great powers, and a silvery appearance. He created for himself a surfboard-like craft — modeled after a childhood fantasy of his — on which he would travel at speeds beyond that of light.

Known from then on as the "Silver Surfer," Norrin began to roam the cosmos searching for new planets for Galactus to consume. When his travels finally took him to Earth, the "Silver Surfer" came face-to-face with the Fantastic Four, a team of powerful superheroes that helped him to rediscover his nobility of spirit.

Betraying Galactus, the "Silver Surfer" saved Earth but was punished in return with everlasting exile there.

Following the success of this debut, Stan Lee scripted a philosophical spin-off series wherein the "Silver Surfer" explored his new home planet.

A more cosmically themed series was published from 1987 to 1998, which focused on the exploits of the "Silver Surfer" finally freed from his exile.

A third series followed in 2003, lasting 14 months.

The "Silver Surfer" movie, scheduled for a 2009 release, is not a sequel, per se, to "The Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer," rather, a spin-off, as "Wolverine" is to the "X-Men" movie franchise.

Officials said the plane carrying six people was departing shortly before midnight Friday when air traffic controllers reporting seeing sparks. The plane hurtled off the end of a runway and came to rest a quarter-mile away on an embankment across a five-lane highway, engulfed in flames.

Barker and DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, were in critical but stable condition at a burn center in Augusta, Ga., on Saturday afternoon, hospital spokeswoman Beth Frits said. Augusta is about 75 miles southwest of Columbia.

The plurality of sales in the Americas was on the Xbox 360, while sales in “Others” were more evenly distributed between the platforms, and smaller overall than Americas sales.

The game looks very good and very fun. I will review it after playing it.

Student Auctioning Virginity at Brothel

LOS ANGELES (Sept. 11) - A 22-year-old woman in the United States is publicly auctioning her virginity to pay for her college education, sparking a heated online debate about sex and morality.

The student from San Diego, California, who is using the pseudonym Natalie Dylan for "safety reasons," said she had no moral dilemma with her decision and found it "empowering."

But few bloggers sided with her and some suspected her intentions. "I don't think auctioning my virginity will solve all my problems," she told celebrity television show The Insider on Wednesday. "But it will create some financial stability. I'm ready for the controversy, I know it will come along. I'm ready to do this." "We live in a capitalist society. Why shouldn't I be allowed to capitalize on my virginity?" she added.

The woman, who has earned a bachelor degree in women's studies and now wants to start a master's degree in marriage and family therapy, is hoping the bidding will hit $1 million.

The online auction site eBay turned her down so the auction will take place at a Nevada brothel, the Moonlite Bunny Ranch, where her sister is working to pay off her college debts.

The date for the auction was not immediately available. In a flurry of media interviews and appearances, she admitted that her mother, a fourth grade teacher, does not agree with her decision. Many on the Internet also disapprove.

"Maybe this is the conservative in me coming out, but this seems so wrong," wrote one blogger, Mike. "Isn't this prostitution?"
"I must say I feel sad for the future of our society," said Mike from Montclair State University in New Jersey.
"What disgusts me about this whole thing is the fact that she is promoting it so heavily. It seems less about having some guy pay for her virginity and more about trying to get her 15 minutes and a reality show," said a blogger called "Ent Lawyer."
She does have her supporters -- not surprisingly Dennis Hof, owner of the Moonlite Bunny Ranch.
"I think it's a tremendous idea. Why lose it to some guy in the backseat of a Toyota when you can pay for your education?" he told reporters.

Tardigrada: Now that's a hard core bug !

Tardigrada: They are small, segmented animals with eight legs and live in water. (Acording to wikipedia)

It is also know to be one of the Toughest if not THE Toughest creature/animal on the planet. Its last test trip was in ... SPACE and 68% of the test subjects survived !

It's one small step for Tardigrada, and one giant leap for the animal kingdom: The toughest creature on Earth has survived a trip into space.

Except for a few hardy strains of bacteria, any other creature would have been destroyed -- but tardigrades handled the voyage as though it were a dry spell on their local moss patch.

"They have claws and eyes. They are real animals. And this is the first time such an animal was tested in space," said Petra Rettberg, an Institute of Aerospace Medicine microbiologist.

Better known as water bears, tardigrades are eight-legged invertebrates visible to the naked eye and found throughout the world, making them a biology class favorite.

They're capable of halting their metabolisms during times of extreme privation, and can repair DNA damage caused by extraordinary doses of radiation -- a phenomenon that's piqued scientific curiosity and prompted researchers to shoot tardigrades into naked orbit around the Earth.

"The repair -- how fast, how efficient, with or without errors -- is different, but basic damage is the same," said Rettberg, who helped design a tardigrade containment system attached to the Foton-M3 satellite, launched last September by a consortium of national space agencies.

The tardigrades had already been coaxed into an anhydrobiotic state, during which their metabolisms slow by a factor of 10,000. This allows them to survive vacuums, starvation, dessication and temperatures above 300 degrees Fahrenheit and below minus 240 degrees Fahrenheit.

Once in orbit, the tardigrade box popped open. Some were exposed to low-level cosmic radiation, and others to both cosmic and unfiltered solar radiation. All were exposed to the frigid vacuum of space.

Back on Earth, tardigrades that had basked in cosmic radiation revived and reproduced at rates comparable to an unexposed control group. Those dosed with solar radiation were less likely to wake -- but that even a few survived, wrote Rettberg's team in findings published today in Current Biology, was remarkable.

Just how the invertebrate astronauts protected themselves "remains a mystery," wrote the researchers. Rettberg's next task is to identify the responsible genes -- a basic step, perhaps, in better understanding and improving human DNA repair.

Tardigrades may even provide insights into adaptations necessary for survival in off-Earth colonies, though they could not live actively in the extreme and nutrient-poor environments of Mars or the moon.

However, Rettberg cautioned against expecting too much from such early findings.

"It'll just be interesting to see what the mechanisms are in tardigrades, compared to the very simple ones in bacteria and more complex systems in higher organisms," she said. "But in addition, it's just fun."

French woman to sue Church of Scientology for 'organized fraud'

I don't know about you guys but when I first found out about Church of Scientology and followed some of their online videos and staff, I ALMOST BOUGHT IT. Yes they are that good. Now due to my nature I investigated a bit more and then it got very interesting. Especially when I also found the post/reply/messages to CoS from a group called Anonymous. I will not spoil it for you do your own homework. BUT here are some news about CoS getting sued but a woman in France.

If found guilty it could result in the controversial body’s main centers being closed down.

The charges, which also include claims of illegally prescribing drugs, were filed by a woman who complained that the Scientologists had allegedly brought about her financial ruin.

She claimed she was psychologically pressured into paying thousands of pounds for lessons, books, drugs and a device called an “electrometre” which the church says can measure a person’s mental state.

The case has taken ten years to come to court.

France’s professional pharmaceutical association and another plaintiff have also filed for charges.

Scientology is not banned in France.

It is a recognized religion in the United States, where it was founded in 1954 by science-fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard. Followers include Hollywood stars Tom Cruise and John Travolta.

This latest court order refers the church’s main structure in France, the ASES-Celebrity Centre, and its bookshop for alleged “organized fraud”.

Both could be shut down if convicted, according to judicial sources.

The trial - for which no date has been set - is rare, as most previous cases targeted individuals but not the church itself.

The seven members on trial, including Alain Rosenberg, the manager of the ASES-Celebrity Centre, face a maximum seven year jail term if convicted.

The woman who complained was allegedly approached by Scientologists in a Paris street in 1998. At first she was offered a personality test, then invited to hear the results.

In his order, the judge found that the church had used “personality tests void of scientific value...with the sole aim of selling services or divers products.”

The 33-year old was allegedly gradually persuaded to hand over around £25,000 on books, communication and “life healing” lessons, as well as “purification packs”.

While claiming to “identify and resolve supposed psychological difficulties or favour personal development,” the judge said, the Scientologists’ “sole aim” was to “claim their fortune” by “exercising a psychological hold” over her.

The decision to proceed with the case went against a 2006 call by the Paris prosecutor’s office for it to be dismissed due to lack of evidence.

A lawyer for the plaintiffs described the judge’s decision as “courageous”.

The Church of Scientology denounced the ruling, saying it was being “stigmatized” by the courts.

"The special treatment reserved for the Church of Scientology Celebrity Center raises questions about the equality of the justice system and the presumption of innocence,” it said in a statement.
